Color or Black & White?

Introducing a new package add-on... an Engagement Video!! I shot it down on Paradise Island when I was in the Bahamas filming the wedding for the other couple too.

I finished the color version with the bride's song choice, but then thought I would experiment with black and white too. The whole video made me think of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Games" so I used that song too for the black and white one. Now I'm torn which one to use as a demo on my site because I like both.

Leave a comment and let me know which one you like best!

Hi Scarlett!
I think both the videos are killer!! From a marketing perspective, I think the color video is more palletable and might appeal more to clients. As a photographer, I prefer the b/w video and music because it's a little more artsy and moody...that's just my two cents.
Either way, the videos are a great idea and beautiful! :)

Hey Scarlett!

Before anything else, GREAT videos!! I'm w/ Jasmine on this one though. The color is sweet and more marketable - BUT, Chris Isaak rocks! And that makes me enjoy the B&W more.

I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, but better late than never... You're awesome! = ) Thanks for being such a presence on OSP and wherever you go!

I have to agree with the previous posts. But I really really like the B&W and also b/c I just enjoy B&W period!!! Plus that song is awesome! But the color with that song is more marketable-friendly.

As always you've done an extraordinary job!!

Great concept, Scarlett! Couples get engagement sessions with their photographer... but video evokes so much more emotion!

I agree that the color version is better. The colors are so rich and full of depth. Definitely stands out more than just black and white.

Great job!

WOW! Scarlett - that video is incredible! I wish I was there shooting with you guys instead of being held up at the customs office! :)

I am going to go out on a limb here! B&W ONLY!! The color also rocks, but something about the B&W is so different.

i used to be so into B&W but now I see everything in bright amazing colors. Is there a way to transition through parts that would be best descripbed in B&W.

Awesome work as usual and congrat on the DJ mention!

I like colour one more. It would be a fun try if you can mix some black & white footages to the colour video. To be honest, both videos are perfect as is.

I like both of them, but would like to see the color version set to Chris Isaak song. Maybe also mix the B&W and Color footage too. GREAT CLIPS!
