Rest in Peace sweet Ruby

Ruby Cook
April 28, 1923-August 4, 2007

Back in May, I posted this blog entry about my great-aunt Ruby, and was overwhelmed by all of your encouragement, support, and beautiful prayers. At the time, we thought she only had a few days, maybe weeks to live. However, she made it through the summer, and I just found out tonight that she passed away a few hours ago, peacefully in her sleep.

I will be heading to South Carolina in the next day or two for the funeral. Please keep my family in your prayers as we say goodbye to our angel here on earth. What a celebration there is in Heaven tonight of her arrival!

Scarlett, I don't even have the words to begin to express how sorry I am for your loss. I hope you will take some comfort knowing that she is a much better place now.

It sounds like, from what I have read on your blog that, Ruby lived a long, wonderful life. I know she was surrounded by lovng family members such as yourself, your Mother and Father and all her friends.

May the memories of Aunt Ruby,
held deep within your heart
help to soothe your spirit at this time. Please know that you, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope this will help someow ease your sorrow and bring you peace today.

All my love,
Crystal

Hugs to you, Scar ::hugs:: I remember how devastated you were in Spring in regards to your Aunt Ruby. I hope you're okay :) Do know that the angels above are having a joyous welcome party up there right now in Heaven, and I'm happy to hear that she left us peacefully. ::BEAR HUG:: for you and your mom.

Hi Scarlett,
I'm sorry for your lost. You and your family are in our prayer.
Knowing nothing even a little about you, but I know you and your mother are both with strong faith and with that I'm sure your Great Aunt Ruby was also a woman with strong faith. Take comfort that she left in her sleep. She is in a place where no more pain, no more sorrows, no more tears.
It is said, to be absent from the body is to be present with Jesus.
God bless you and your family and we will pray for you and your family.

Scarlett I am so sorry to here about the passing of your loved one. Life can never prepared us for the loss of those that we no matter how we to to believe that it will. But I do know that God gives us a peace that passage all understanding, and He wants us to lean not unto our own understanding but to acknowledge Him and He will direct our path... With that said I want you to know that we will be praying for you and your family.
