Taliah and Mark are engaged!
Taliah just recently got her braces off, and she was now ready for her spotlight in front of the camera. Not only did she have the love of her life, Mark, by her side, but she had her hair stylist, three outfits, her mom, her two sisters, and her brother as part of her entourage for her and Mark's engagement session with me.
We had fun prancing around the Riverside area, hopping fence on private property, turning the Starbucks bathroom into a personal dressing room. Then later in they became supermodels in the rain in San Marco. We even almost got arrested by a police offer yelling at us to get out of the road. Doesn't he know the best shots are the most risktaking? :-)
Taliah formerly worked at the GAP, and, like me, has a passion for fashion. We were a great match for bride and photographer from the beginning! And Mark was such a sport as he took the shadow to let Taliah shine. I mean any guy that would patiently wait in Starbucks for half an hour in between each outfit change while his soon-to-be bride transformed wardrobe and hair in the bathroom, is definitely a keeper!

This was the shot that we almost got arrested for. In between lights changing, I told them to run in the road, and as I'm clicking the shutter, the police officer comes running up to us "GET OUT OF THE ROAD RIGHT NOW!" Like geez, fine. But it was so worth it wasn't it? :-)

I am a very recent blog stalker of yours. I love your work. Seriously great stuff!
I am actually a wedding videographer as well but I am about to add photography services to our offerings. I would LOVE to hear about how you made the switch from video to photo! Maybe we can talk about it sometime.

So off topic, but... We're getting a Peterbrooke in Birmingham! YAY!
And on topic, the arresting photo really is worth it!
I want a personal hair stylist! I love all of your night time shots. They are moody, dramatic, and sexy. Way to work the light.
Scarlett, These are gorgeous. I love the menu shot the best. Great job on the color--- as always. :-)
Carla- Gotta LOVE Peterbrook's!
Ashley- I know, I was in love with the lighting. I don't get to shoot much at night, so it was fun to play and experiment. And more fun with a couple really works it for you!
Crystal- Thanks girl!
