A "trashy" rainy day.

In May, I shot a fabulous destination wedding for Corinna and Bobby in Las Vegas. Corinna originally wanted to trash her dress on the strip in Vegas, but due to time constraints we weren't able to pull that off. So now, back home in Jacksonville, we trashed it instead amongst the lily pads and swampy rivers of Northeast Florida. What we didn't expect were thunderstorms and rain on the day we scheduled her photoshoot, but thank goodness we were already trashing the dress because the rain made for even cooler pictures with the water droplets all around her in the water.

Check out the video below for behind-the-scenes look at the making of the trash session, and a cool slideshow of all her hot pics! Also in the video is a special announcement of what publication joined us at the session to do an upcoming article about our trash session!

And I couldn't resist giving you a sneak peak before the article is published. Here are a few of my favorites!

(First, we shot a few inside while we let the thunderstorms pass...)

Again, my bed comes in handy for a few shots. My bed was also used in Corinna and Bobby's engagement session last year.

I have to give credit that I got the idea for this shot from one of my favorite photographers and friend, the fabulous Jasmine Star. Thanks Jazz for helping me see something from a different angle!

Time for outside! I literally had a camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other, as you can see in the video!

My FAVORITE shot of the day!

These are hot--is it really me?! Thanks, Scar! Everyone at work just came by my desk today after reading the news article and raved about the pictures :) Awesome!

Oh yeah, I noticed a lot of your blogger friends like the fishing pole idea--hehehehe.. I'm glad we got to incorporate my favorite thing to do--and darn, only if we had golf clubs too! ;-D

THANKS!!

Janalin- Awesome to have you stalking! I'm glad you finally said hello! As far as lighting goes, ha, that's definitely not my strong point and I know I still have so much to learn about it. For this particular shoot, I didn't use any flash for the outdoor shots. But for the indoor shots, I just used my 580ex flash and the infamous Gary Fong lightsphere which I love! I have no idea how to work the flash other than turning it on and replacing the batteries it eats up like crazy, but somehow I make it work. :-) That's why I try to use natural light as much as possible.

Katie- Ha ha, thanks girl! Yeah, my bride is thrilled everyone is loving the fishing rod shot. It's funny how the last minute spontaneous shots can end up being the best shots sometimes!

Corinna- YES they are really you! Like Katie said, you owned it girl! Thanks again for all you did crawling in the creepy crawly places!

Crystal- Ohhhh I'm glad you got my comments! It kept clearing, so I must have tried like 5 times to submit it. But thanks again for posting me on your blog!

Dany- Thanks for your big wow!

Dana- Thanks girl! Yeah, funny enough, the location was my mom's friend's mansion on the river. All that you see in the pics is the gorgeous landscaping they have around their driveway and docks on the river.

Anna- A holy cow thanks!
