The beauty of life and family

A few months ago, I shot a wedding for a bride whose father and brother-in-law were killed in a plane accident a month before her wedding. The sister of the bride, whose husband was in the accident, was left with two little girls, one who is severly autistic, and asked me to do a tribute video with them to remember their father and grandfather by. To add a personal touch, they had a lot of home video footage which I incorporated in between the footage I shot.

Grab the tissues, it's a tearjerker. I was crying just editing the thing. It really made me stop and think how much I cherished my loved ones and the importance of telling them we love them each and every day. I hope it inspires you to do the same.

Save the date!

Dear Brides,

If you are planning your wedding for 2007, just a heads up that dates are filling up quickly. For April and June brides, as of right now, I only have one weekend open each of those months, so don't hesitate to contact me with your date to check my availability.

I always have brides ask me "How far in advance should I book you?" And my answer is always "The sooner the better to secure your date in my book." I receive new inquiries everyday, already even for 2008 weddings, but I accept contracts on a first come, first serve basis. I look forward to hearing from YOU!

Making the Video

I just got these behind the scene pics in from the fabulous TimCo. during our Bahamas day of shooting Heena and Prashant's Day After video and Jen and Greg's Engagement Video last month. Thanks Tim for catching me in action!

Filming the newlyweds, Heena and Prashant, on the colorful streets of Nassau, Bahamas.

A quick snapshot with Jen and Greg before we start the filming of their video in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Up close and personal with Jen and Greg. I'm always looking for different angles for shots from high to low to behind things and everything in between.

Check back in a few weeks for Heena and Prashant's highlights intro and day after video!

It's the details that count!

I received the same compliment from two brides I booked this week, so I thought I would share a paraphrased combo of their words as a testimonial:

"What I love about your work is the incredible attention to detail. From the shots you get, to the design of your DVD cover, everything is so detailed. That's what really made you stand out to me and want to book you."

Thanks Bonni and Chrissy for the sweet words and feedback!

And to Danielle, another bride I booked this week, thanks for your excitement and how you are showing my demo to everyone! Word of mouth is the best marketing and I appreciate your recommendation!

Looking forward to all of your upcoming weddings next year!

My new boyfriend

So I broke up with my PowerBook and now have a new man, MacPro.

Music Video Contest Results

I found out the results to the Shawn McDonald contest that I entered my video in last month. Unfortunately, I didn't win the Grand Prize, but I was excited to have made it as far as I did in the finals. Just in making the video, and the way it impacted people's lives already has been such a reward in itself. A super special thank you to everyone who took the time to root for my video and vote!! Your kindness and support meant the world to me!
